AGNEW & SON, 16 bore, BLNE, 29" Modern nitro proved Damascus tested in 2002. Choked Sk1/Sk2. 15" moderately figured wood with a beautiful fiddle back grain to 1" black recoil pad. The checkering and finish have been picked up not long ago and the wood is lovely. Action has gone grey with the furniture having been re-blacked giving the gun a very smart appearance. The smaller action, long barrels and long stock bear the lines of a true long gun. Tips the scale at just under 6lbs.

EDWARD GALE & SON, BIRMINGHAM, BLE, 2 3/4" reproved in 1970. 28" with an assortment of thin wall Briley choke tubes. 14 7/8" re-stocked with a wonderful piece of Juglans regia that came from an un irrigated orchard in California. This is significant because it results in wood that is very dense and tight with good figure and the often elusive fiddle back grain. The action retains light original case colors and features beaded fences and tasteful scroll engraving. Triggers have been set for a left handed shooter and the gun is cast properly for a southpaw as well. Light weight and nimble at 6lbs 4oz. A well maintained side by side ready for the field.

COGSWELL & HARRISON, LONDON, SLNE, #11689, 2 1/2", 30" modern nitro proved Damascus choked IC/IC. 14 3/4" moderately figured wood to original checkered horn butt plate. Wood overall shows no cracks splits or repairs sitting untouched in original condition. Moderate case color left on the shallow frame, bar action sidelock built on the top lever cocking, Gibbs and Pitt patent. The reverse slide safety reveals the transitional nature of the hammerless gun and demonstrates how the mechanics of a safety had yet to be established. Cased in in its oak and leather case with makers label. 6lbs 10oz. Fully functional and ready to once again to enter the field where it belongs. This guns is forever represented in Cogswell and Harrison's book and can be found on plate 4.

Thomas Turner, REDDING & NEWBURY, BLE, 2 1/2", 30" choked Sk1/Full. 15 3/4" moderate to highly figured wood with 1 1/2" well match extention. Action retains light to moderate case colors and features lovely fine London Best scroll engraving, beaded fences, terraced action and true hidden third fastener. Soaking wet the gun tips the scales at 6lbs 6oz. Remarkable for such a long gun - top drawer quality through and through.

JW LAIRD, B'HAM, LONDON, BLE, 2 1/2", 30" choked IC/Lt Mod. 14 3/4" highly figured wood which includes a well matched 3/4" wood extension. Highly engraved floral and scroll action with ribanded fences and Greener style cross bolt. 6lbs 6oz. The gun is cased in a vintage leather case with a Harrison and Hussey label. Laird was listed as a gunmaker in 1848 and was located in London between 1889 and 1896. This gun ships as an antique.

GAMBA, ITALY, 20 bore, SLE, Ambassador Executive, c.1979, 2 3/4", 28" choked Sk2/Mod. 14 1/2" highly figured wood to checkered butt. Relief scroll and game scene engraved coin finished receiver with pierced top lever and disc set strikers. Lock engraving depicts pheasants and ducks. A bulino capercaillie adorns the bottom of the action and the action is signed by Italian engraver Aldo Rizzini. Only the finest of handling marks can be found on the stock and it appears as new in its original leather case. 6 lbs 9oz.
